JANUARY by ZO

STEP 1 --- Open a new A4 size file.


STEP 2 --- Name the LAYER 1 as background. Click ADD A LAYER STYLE button and select GRADIENT OVERLAY.


STEP 3 --- Set the gradient like I shown below.


STEP 4 --- Add a new group and name it WOLF+OWL.


STEP 5 --- Open the animal crossbead image which I did before. Select all the layer except BACKGROUND layer and drag them into the group.


STEP 4 --- Click CREATE A NEW FILL OR ADJUSTMENT LAYER and select HUE/SATURATION.


STEP 7 --- Adjust the SATURATION bar like the picture shown below.


STEP 8 --- Insert a new layer and name it as BROWN HIGHLIGHT, set the blending mode for the layer as MULTIPLY. Set the opacity to 100%. Use brush tool to color the wings brown color.


STEP 9 --- Use ERASER to remove the extra parts.

STEP 10 --- This is the image after erased.


STEP 11 --- Add a new layer and name it as BACKGROUND GRAPHIC.

STEP 12 --- Insert a new layer an

STEP 13 ---Insert a new layer and name it as BOX. Draw a rectangle.


STEP 14 --- Set the opacity as 12%.


STEP 15 --- Use TYPE TOOL to add dates.


STEP 16 --- Here it is.


STEP 17 --- Add a new layer below WOLF+OWL group. Type JANUARY title by using TYPE TOOL.


STEP 18 --- Change the color of the UARY letters as grey. This will make the JAN more pop out.


STEP 19 --- Use TYPE TOOL to insert 2011 word.


STEP 20 --- Here is it again.


STEP 21 --- Its time to credit myself and my group for such a hardwork. So, I will add the following sentence at the right bottom corner since there is quite empty. This will also make the calender looks official.

FINAL OUTPUT


WEN YONG -WORK PART 4 (TEMPLATE DESIGN)

I started to do our template design lead by our leader - Zo Phoon.

Step 1, Open a NEW DOCUMENT [A4 in Vertical] 
then apply Blending Option. [Gradient Overlay]

Step 2, Adjusting the Color with Hue and Saturation.

Step 3, Drag the image created before this, arrange it by using Free Transform Tool.

Step 4, Add in Text. [Month Title and Year]

Step 5, Create some Shapes with Rectangle Tool. Arrange it with Free Transform.

Step 6, Create another White Shape below with lower Opacity. [11%]

Step 7, Add in the Dates by using Text Tool. Arrange it nicely and apply color to highlight the [Sunday].

Step 8, Lastly, add in Label that stated who are the designer. Done!

WEN YONG -WORK PART 3 (FROG+SQUIRREL)

Step 1, Open a Squirrel Image saved from Flickr.com then, Crop it out by using Crop Tool.

Step 2, Drag in a Frog Image, rename the layer, arrange it by using Free Transform Tool, remove the part that not needed by Eraser Tool.

Step 3, Duplicate the Frog Layer, then use the Layer Blending Option - Luminosity.
This shows the Squirrel's fur under the color of the Frog Image.

Step 4, Repeat Step 3 to get more details. (Blending Option - Luminosity.)

Step 5, Adjust the Hue and Saturation of the image to make the First Layer (Squirrel Layer) becomes Black and White as we needed to add in our template design later.

Step 6, Crop the Squirrel+Frog Crossbreed Animal Image by using Eraser Tool to remove the unwanted parts. This allow me to add it in the template easier. 


FEBRUARY by ZO

STEP 1 --- Open the template which I saved before. Open the LEOPARD image which I made before.





STEP 2--- Drag the image into the template. Group all the copied layer and the group as LEOPARD+BAT.




STEP 3 --- Click CREATE A NEW FILL OR ADJUSTMENT LAYER and select HUE/SATURATION.




STEP 4 --- Insert a new layer and name it as BROWN HIGHLIGHT, set the blending mode for the layer as MULTIPLY. Set the opacity to 100%. Use brush tool to color the wings.



STEP 5 --- Use SELECTION TOOL and PAINT BUCKET TOOL to draw rectangles as the background.




STEP 6 --- Insert a new layer and name it as BOX.




STEP 7 --- Use TYPE TOOL to add dates.




STEP 8 --- Add a new layer below LEOPARD+OWL group. Type FEBRUARY title by using TYPE TOOL. Change the color of the RUARY letters as grey. This will make the FEB more pop out.




STEP 9 --- Use TYPE TOOL to insert 2011 word.




STEP 10 --- Last but not the least, its time to credit myself and my group for such a hardwork. So, I will add the following sentence at the right bottom corner since there is quite empty.














FINAL OUTPUT

ZO-WORK PART 5

STEP 1 --- Here is the product after extracting.















STEP 2 --- Drag the wolf image on the top of OWL BODY layer. Name the layer as WOLF HEAD.
















STEP 3 --- Select EDIT and choose FREE TRANSFORM. Adjust the size until it fuse with the body properly.
















STEP 4 --- Select BRUSH TOOL and set the hardness to 0%. Then, drag the mouse to erase the bottom parts of the head.
















STEP 5 --- This is the product.




STEP 6 --- Select CREATE NEW FILL OR ADJUSTMENT LAYER and choose EXPOSURE.




STEP 7 --- Adjust the bar like I shown in the picture below..




STEP 8 --- Select CREATE NEW FILL OR ADJUSTMENT LAYER and choose BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST.




This the final product.




ZO-WORK PART 4

STEP 1 --- Open the owl image which I saved from internet. Name the layer as OWL BODY.


STEP 2 --- Click ADD LAYER MASK button.














STEP 3 --- Select BRUSH TOOL and set black color as foreground color. Start dragging the mouse to hide the parts which are not needed.













STEP 4 --- Layer masking is done.













STEP 5 --- Add a new layer and drop grey color as the background. This will help you to see the picture easier.













STEP 6 ---Open the wolf picture which is downloaded from Flickr.
STEP 7 --- Since I want to cut out the hair details, so I can't use layer masking method. So, I choose to use EXTRACT tool. Select EXTRACT, then click EXTRACT.














STEP 8 --- Select EDGE HIGHLIGHTER TOOL, drag the mouse to highlight the edge of the wolf.














STEP 9 --- Select FILL TOOL and click on the wolf to drop blue highlight.
